Idaho Film Collection grant proposals due Oct. 15

French, film and humanities students collaborated on a project to bring community stories to life.

The Idaho Film Collection supports scholarly research and creative activities in film, photography and media studies as these relate to and/or benefit Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. The Idaho Film Collection also hosts public screenings, exhibitions and festivals.

The collection encourages students, scholars and independent photographers and filmmakers to apply for grants by October 15, 2026.

  • Grants for students: Current Boise State students can apply for film, experimental video and photography grants that range from $200-$500.
  • Grants for scholars, photographers and filmmakers: Faculty, staff and independent filmmakers and photographers can apply for grants that range from $500-$1,500.
