The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 191 in East Windsor and Enfield. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, June 19 and be completed on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The project DOT01710506CN "C" consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.47-mile segment of Route 191 in East Windsor and Enfield from Route 140 (Melrose Road) to Route 190 (Hazard Avenue). This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Thursday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by Galasso Materials is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, June 25 to Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 191 in East Windsor and Enfield from Route 140 (Melrose Road) to Route190 (Hazard Avenue). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
