Senator Warren Statement on July 2026 PCE

Washington, D.C. - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:

"President Trump promised to lower costs 'on Day One.' He's failed. Inflation today is higher than when he took office in January 2025, higher than when he launched his chaotic tariffs in April 2025, and higher than when he launched his illegal war in Iran five months ago. Today's data confirms families paid more in July for health care, housing, and utilities. Trump's decisions are driving up costs and eating into Americans' paychecks."
