VIDEO: Grassley Praises House Passage of Landmark E15 Legislation

WASHINGTON - Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a lifelong family farmer and a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, welcomed the House of Representatives' passage of historic legislation allowing for the permanent, year-round sale of E15 nationwide.

"This is a very major step forward for family farmers, for our national security and for every American who fills up at the pump. E15 creates jobs in rural communities, helps secure America's energy dominance and, importantly, lowers gas prices," Grassley said, in part.

"Now, of course, it's up to the Senate to take up this very urgent legislation. Congress must take action to boost fuel supply and help rural America in the process. E15 would pump $14 billion dollars into the farm economy. Iowa's family farmers are counting on the Senate to deliver year-round E15. I'm going to keep fighting until we get this bill to the president's desk," Grassley continued.

Grassley thanked Reps. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), Zach Nunn (R-Iowa), Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa) for their hard work to get E15 passed in the House. Grassley also noted President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins have all urged Congress to pass E15 during trips to Iowa this year.
