Boise Police investigating early morning fight, aggravated assault
June 13, 2025
Arrested: Kevin Ballard, 37, Meridian
Charge: Weapon-Carry Concealed While Under the Influence (M)
Boise Police are looking for additional witnesses and potential victims of a reported aggravated assault that occurred in the early morning hours of June 1, 2025. At some point between 2 am and 5 am, there was a physical altercation between several individuals in the parking lot of 'Satin Dolls' on W. State St. Officers responded to the area to investigate and spoke with involved individuals who were still on scene. Preliminary evidence indicates that during the altercation, one of the subjects pointed a handgun at several others involved in the fight. During the initial investigation, one of the individuals, Kevin Ballard, was found to be in possession of a firearm and under the influence of alcohol during the altercation. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation and later booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charge.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are seeking additional information about the altercation and reported aggravated assault involving the firearm. If you are a victim or witness and have not spoken to police, you are asked to contact Ada County Non-Emergency Dispatch at 208-377-6790.
