Milling and Resurfacing on I-91 in Cromwell and Rocky Hill

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 northbound Exits 21 to 23 in Cromwell and Rocky Hill. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, September 22 and be completed on Friday, October 10, 2025. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.71-mile segment of I-91 northbound Exits 21 to 23 in Cromwell and Rocky Hill. This project is scheduled by Waters Construction on Monday, September 22, to Friday, October 10, 2025. This project is included in CTDOT's 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of I-91 northbound Exits 21 to 23 in Cromwell and Rocky Hill. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday to Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
