A team training for several North Dakota and Minnesota DUI Treatment Courts will be held August 6-7 at the North Dakota State University Memorial Union in Fargo, ND. The training will be provided by Impaired Driving Solutions, a division of All Rise, delivering research-based and innovative solutions that lead to more effective services for individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders to eliminate impaired driving.
This expert-level training, the first of its kind in the region, is designed for existing impaired driving treatment courts and hybrid treatment courts. This operational tune-up will enhance court teams through the assessment of current policy and procedures against the established treatment court model, using the latest science and established best practices. In addition, the training will improve outcomes in the courts by expanding each team's knowledge and skills.
The training is a collaborative effort between Impaired Driving Solutions, the North Dakota Supreme Court; the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; and the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at North Dakota State University. Seven North Dakota hybrid dui/drug treatment court teams and 2 Minnesota dui treatment court teams are expected to attend.
