KAHULUI, Jan. 10, 2025, 9 p.m. - Hawaiian Electric crews are working to restore power to approximately 100 remaining Maui customers in pockets of Kailua, Kihei and Kula. As of 8:30 p.m., power was restored to all other customers in parts of South Maui, Upcountry, West Maui and Central Maui after early morning thunderstorms today. These outages are storm related and are not part of the company's Public Safety Power Shutoff program.

For customers still without power in Kailua, Kihei and Kula, crews are working to safely make repairs and complete line inspections so power can be restored as quickly as possible. Affected customers are still being asked to prepare for potential extended outages into tonight.

Maui customers who are experiencing an outage at this time should call our Maui Trouble Line at 1-808-871-7777 to report your outage.

Mahalo for the continued patience and understanding.
