Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Meets with the Permanent Representatives of the Three Sahel Countries to the African Union

On April 16, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with H.E. Amadou Hassane Mai Daboua, Permanent Representative of Niger to African Union; H.E. Dr. Madou Diallo, Permanent Representative of Mali to African Union; H.E. Mr. Elysé Ouedraogo, Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso to African Union.

Amb. Jiang stated that political mutual trust between China and the three Sahel countries has been continuously strengthened, and fruitful outcomes have been achieved in cooperation across various fields. China is ready to work with the three Sahel countries and other African countries to support each other and jointly pursue modernization paths suited to their respective national conditions. President Xi Jinping recently made a four-point proposition on safeguarding and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, contributing a Chinese solution to resolving the crisis. China stands ready to continue working with the international community to contribute to the early restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East and Gulf region.

Ambassadors expressed their gratitude to China for its long-term and unwavering support for Africa and their respective countries, and committed their willingness to strengthen bilateral and multilateral communication and coordination with China. The three countries highly praised the four-point proposition initiated by President Xi Jinping and appreciated China's significant contributions to promoting a ceasefire and end hostilities in the region.
