President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Armenia, Mahmedgeldi Ayazov, on the occasion of Turkmenistan's national holiday - Independence Day.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on the holiday and conveyed his best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, wishing peace, continuous development, and multifaceted prosperity to Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people.
On the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the President expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his effective work and efforts aimed at strengthening Armenia-Turkmenistan relations, highly appreciated his contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries, and wished him further success in his professional endeavors.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the key issues on the bilateral agenda and discussed opportunities for expanding economic cooperation. The President underlined that with the implementation of the "Crossroads of Peace" project, Armenia-Turkmenistan partnership can create new opportunities not only in the economic sphere but also in social and cultural fields, contributing to the deepening of bilateral ties.
Both sides highly appreciated the consistently high level of political relations and mutual visits between Armenia and Turkmenistan, as well as their effective and trustworthy cooperation in various international platforms.
