NewsNation To Present Special Coverage Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Anchors Chris Cuomo and Connell McShane to Broadcast Live from the 9/11 Memorial

One-Hour Multiplatform Documentary Special Featuring Reflections on 9/11 to Air September 11 at 10 p.m. ET

CHICAGO, IL - NewsNation, the country's fastest-growing cable news network in total day and primetime, today announced that it will present special programming on Friday, September 11, commemorating the 25^th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center while honoring the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the enduring impact of the tragedy. Anchors Chris Cuomo and Connell McShane will host special live editions of their programs from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center site in New York City.

The network will begin its coverage with Morning in America, anchored by Markie Martin from Chicago. Journalist Marni Hughes will then anchor a special edition of NewsNation Live from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, featuring the annual moment of silence and the reading of the names of those who lost their lives that day.

Throughout the day, NewsNation will spotlight stories of bravery, resilience, and remembrance, reflecting on the events of September 11 and their lasting impact on the nation. At 3 p.m. ET, Mr. McShane will anchor a special three-hour edition of NewsNation Live from the 9/11 Memorial in Manhattan.

NewsNation will continue its commemorative programming throughout primetime, with Mr. Cuomo hosting CUOMO live from the 9/11 Memorial at 8 p.m. ET. He will share his reflections and firsthand memories of covering the events from downtown Manhattan more than two decades ago.

At 9 p.m. ET, the network will present a one-hour multiplatform documentary "9/11 Remembered: 25 Years Later." The program will feature new interviews with President Donald J. Trump and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who will share their personal reflections of 9/11 and discuss how the events of that day continue to shape the country 25 years later. The primetime special will also revisit the events of the day through archival footage and powerful firsthand accounts from those who experienced the tragedy, including U.S. Army Lieutenant General (Ret.) Michael R. Fenzel, former Deputy Assistant to President George W. Bush, award-winning actor Gary Sinise, Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council, Sebastian Gorka, and dozens of first responders who were in the field that day.

A special edition of On Balance with Leland Vittert and Katie Pavlich Tonight will be presented at 10 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET, respectively.

In addition, national correspondents Alicia Nieves and Jessica Kartalija will report live from the World Trade Center throughout the day, while White House correspondent Kellie Meyer will report from Washington, D.C., on memorial events attended by political leaders.
