Mayor President Edwards Announces City Parish Closure and Garbage Collection
Baton Rouge, LA - January 20, 2025 - As previously announced, City-Parish offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, due to freezing weather conditions. City-Parish offices will also remain closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, due to continued freezing temperatures.
Additionally, curbside garbage, recycling, and out-of-cart services will be suspended on Tuesday, January 21, because of anticipated hazardous road conditions. Both the North Landfill and the Starwood Court Collection Facility will also be closed. A decision regarding Wednesday's collection services will be made tomorrow.
