DEERFIELD, Ill., Oct. 1, 2026 - Walgreens is making it easier for older adults to stay up to date on recommended immunizations1 with Seniors Day in-store vaccine clinics, designed to provide convenient access to recommended vaccines, including flu, COVID-19, RSV, pneumococcal and shingles vaccines available at no cost to patients with most insurance.
Vaccine clinics will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Walgreens pharmacies nationwide. Walk-ins are welcome, and patients can also schedule an appointment in advance at Walgreens.com/ScheduleVaccine, through the Walgreens app, by texting "Flu" to 66879 or by calling 1-800-WALGREENS.
During the clinics, adults ages 55 and up can visit their local Walgreens pharmacy to receive immunizations and connect with a pharmacist about their health and wellness questions. myWalgreens® members who are 55 and up can also take advantage of exclusive Seniors Day savings,2 including 20% off eligible regular price merchandise, while eligible Medicare Advantage members can use over-the-counter supplemental benefits on qualifying health and wellness products.
"Helping patients stay healthy starts with making care easy to access," said Rick Gates, Chief Pharmacy Officer, Walgreens. "Seniors Day makes it easier for older adults to stay protected with convenient access to recommended vaccines and the opportunity to talk with our trusted pharmacy team members about their health. We want patients to know they can turn to their neighborhood Walgreens not just during respiratory season, but throughout the year."
Patients who get a vaccine at Walgreens can earn $15 in Walgreens Cash rewards on their next eligible in-store purchase of $5 or more as a myWalgreens® member. MyWalgreens® member patients also receive 10% back in Walgreens Cash rewards on eligible purchases for the next 30 days.3

What vaccines should older adults consider?
Older adults should consider staying up to date on vaccines that help protect against flu, COVID-19, RSV, pneumococcal pneumonia and shingles, particularly if they are at higher risk for severe illness. For flu, higher dose or adjuvanted vaccines are recommended for adults 65 and older.
Your local Walgreens pharmacist can help determine which vaccines may be recommended based on your age, health conditions and vaccination history.
Can I receive multiple vaccines at the same visit?
Yes, you can receive multiple vaccines during the same appointment, including the flu, COVID-19, shingles, RSV and pneumococcal pneumonia vaccines. Not only is it safe, but it's a great way to save time and stay protected.
