Today (5.8), Canadian-born actor, singer, and dancer Myles Erlick releases his newest single, "Past Life," via OneRPM x Huff Co.
Produced alongside Dann Huff and David Huff in partnership with ONErpm, "Past Life" is a high-energy country rock track built around that rare, electric spark, when a complete stranger feels like someone you've known forever. Driven by shared moments, music, and a chemistry that hits fast and lingers, the song captures a chance encounter that quickly turns into something undeniable.
Following the release of "2AM Playlist," "Past Life" pushes Erlick further into the country rock crossover lane with a polished, driving sound. For Erlick, songwriting isn't about playing it safe. It's about telling the truth. His songs act as real-time snapshots of his life, grounded in experience and instinct rather than image. With "Past Life," he leans into emotional depth without losing strength.
The track is powered by an elite lineup of Nashville's most respected session players, musicians whose credits span some of the biggest names and records in modern country and beyond. Chris McHugh (Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood) anchors the track on drums, with Mark Hill on bass and acoustic textures from Danny Rader (Kenny Chesney). Electric guitars are driven by Derek Wells, Rob McNelley, and George Collins, while David Dorn adds depth on keys and Justin Schipper (Luke Combs, Midland) brings a timeless country soul on steel. Together, they give "Past Life" live-wire energy and polish.
With more than 3.3 million followers across social platforms, Erlick has steadily established himself as an artist to watch. A dynamic cross-disciplinary performer, he first broke out in the title role of Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway, later appearing in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story and most recently co-starring in the Amazon Prime series Motorheads. In parallel, he is rapidly emerging as a country rock artist, with a growing catalog of original releases and viral hits gaining traction across streaming services and social platforms.
His recent singles "This Town" and "Doin' What I Do" received significant SiriusXM airplay, and he is coming off a sold-out U.S. headline debut at Cannery Hall in Nashville. His work with ONErpm x Huff Co. Nashville, led by David and Dann Huff, comes as he continues to build out a catalog rooted in country rock songwriting and live musicianship.
