Overnight Closures Scheduled for Posey Tube (State Route 260) for Maintenance work

Alameda County - Due to maintenance work and to ensure the safety of crews and the public, Caltrans will implement the following closures in the Posey Tube (Alameda-Oakland). These closures are needed to support the continued renovation, upkeep, and overall improvement of the Tunnels & Tubes facilities. The work includes the work includes pressure washing, cleaning, surface preparation, and full paint application at both tunnel ends, along with routine maintenance needed to preserve and maintain the facility.

Nighttime Full Posey Tube Closures
Friday night, May 15th
and Saturday Night May 16th
10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Motorists will be detoured via Lincoln Avenue, Park Street, and then onto northbound I-880. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

During this time, motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Work includes repairing damaged concrete and improving the roadway surface on the Posey Tube bridge deck and approaches.

Be Work Zone Alert and expect travel delays.
