House Advances Senator Marshall Priorities to Strengthen Kansas Small Businesses

Washington - On Friday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), issued the following statement after two of his small business priorities passed the U.S. House of Representatives with strong bipartisan support this week. The bipartisan Investing in All of America Act will expand capital access for small businesses in rural and low-income communities, as well as those in the manufacturing and critical technology sectors, by strengthening the successful Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program.

Additionally, the Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act prevents the Small Business Administration (SBA) from taking any regulatory action that would increase compliance costs for small businesses. This legislation also requires SBA to report annually on the regulatory costs imposed on small businesses by other federal agencies.

"Small businesses power our economy, and these bills help them grow by increasing access to capital opportunities and cutting costly red tape," said Senator Marshall. "I'm proud to see bipartisan support for giving entrepreneurs the freedom and resources they need to succeed - I look forward to working these bills through the Senate."

In June 2025, Senator Marshall's Connecting Small Businesses with Career and Technical Education Graduates Act also passed the House. This legislation will help graduates of Career and Technical Education (CTE) enter the workforce by requiring Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) and Women's Business Centers (WBCs) to provide small businesses with information on hiring CTE graduates.

Senator Marshall is pushing to move all three small business priorities through the U.S. Senate and deliver these bills to President Trump's desk for signature.
