Ontario Court Convicts Individual of Animal Welfare Offences

An individual has been convicted of offences under the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act, 2019(PAWS Act).

On November 27, 2025, in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas, Tiffany Calvert was found guilty of:

  • failure to comply with an order contrary to section 30(4)
  • failure to provide adequate and appropriate food and water contrary to section 13(1)

Calvert was fined $500 and banned from owning, having custody or care of dogs for four years.
