Triple Twins Arrive at Ascension Saint Agnes in 72 Hours

Associates at Ascension Saint Agnes are celebrating an extraordinary baby boom after three sets of twins were born within just 72 hours in the hospital's Mother/Baby Unit.

The remarkable series of deliveries began Wednesday, May 13, with the arrival of twin girls. On Thursday, May 14, another set of twin girls was born. On Friday, May 15, twin boys made their debut, bringing a total of six newborns into the world during an unforgettable week.

Adding to the rare coincidence, the same labor and delivery nurse provided care for all three sets of twins, offering support through each delivery.

"I have been at Ascension Saint Agnes for almost a year and have never seen it," says Andrea Eisler, Labor and Delivery Nurse. "Our team is always superb and supportive. We come together and encourage each other."

The OB-GYN team and certified nurse midwives at Ascension Saint Agnes provide personalized maternity care centered on each patient's preferences. Services include prenatal education, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, breastfeeding assistance and access to maternal-fetal medicine for high-risk pregnancies, as well as neonatal specialty care when needed.

This unusual run of twin births has created a memorable week for hospital associates, underscoring both the unpredictability and joy of maternity care.
