Drew on the 30th Anniversary of "The Wedding Singer" & Possible Movie Theater Re-Release
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/PdtNNiynaRJIValerie: How old is that clip?
Drew: Oh, well, God, when was 'The Wedding Singer?' You know, I'm a Pisces. I'm terrible with this. What was the year we made 1997, so we made it in'96, so you know, it'll be 30 years next year.
Valerie: Holy cow, how is that possible?
Drew: They are starting to release old movies in the movie theater. Maybe a 30th anniversary 'Wedding Singer' would be a good idea.
Ross: Would you go?
Drew: I mean, Adam and I, and his wife Jackie and his daughters Sunny and Sadie, and my daughters Frankie and Olive were very close. And they've actually been very important to me at different intervals of my life, you know, at first it's Adam being I wanted to create a cinematic soulmate relationship, we're 30 years together and now they're really helpful to me as parents of two daughters and we've been young, we've been parents we've been, we've just been a lot of different things, but right now here I have a picture of us the other night and I just don't know what I would do without him and Jackie.
Ross: You know, I love that, yeah, I think like as outsiders we all, I'm talking about us right, the people that go to the movies, we all love your relationship and I love that it's so real in real life too.
Valerie: And you can have male friends.
Drew: That's exactly right. And I'm just as close with Jackie as I am with Adam and they really do help me navigate the world as parents, so we've had many chapters and they're all different and all as meaningful as it gets.
Valerie: And it just brings you closer and there could be more, right?
Drew Debate: Drew, Ross & Val on Golden Retriever Boyfriends vs. Black Cat Boyfriends
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/YRj5tpEVA6paValerie: It's time for a Drew debate.
Drew: I love a debate.
Valerie: Yes, The Every Girl reports that golden retriever boyfriends are out and black cat boyfriends, oh I love those too, are in. So let me explain. Golden retriever boyfriends are outgoing, overly affectionate and consistent partners, right? Oh my God, yes, and while black cat boyfriends are quieter, more emotional, and a little broody.
Ross: I do, listen I like black cats, but I don't want a black cat boyfriend. I don't want to be looking for you under the bed, OK?...
Drew: Well, Val what are you because I know very clearly what I am.
Valerie: I have a black cat. His name is Batman and he is my bed partner. I mean, he's who I sleep with so I love a black cat. Now I also love a golden retriever. I love my dog, but he, I just, why do we have to decide? Why not both? Well, I want a little golden retriever and I want a little black cat.
Ross: Sounds like you want a throuple.
Valerie: I want a full rounded man.
Drew: Definitely golden retriever. Yeah, I don't hold back. I've done the moody boyfriend, many times over. And that was fun when I felt like young and cool and now I just I'm outgoing.
I'm affectionate, I want consistency. I want to believe that you will be that same person tomorrow that you are today.
Ross: We asked the audience the same question. 77% agree with you. They want a golden retriever that's a lot, but a quarter of them, about 23% said they want a black cat boyfriend, whoever you date, just find your person the way you like to be loved.
Drew: Also, I know I think I am a golden retriever myself and we're not everybody's cup of tea. You need a broody black cat sometimes.
Michael & Cameron Douglas on Their First Time Each Meeting Drew

Michael: People were asking me, 'Have you, have you ever met Drew before?' And I said, 'I think I met Drew,' I thought you were 14. I found out you were even younger than that. I'm in a restaurant called Columbus, and this is back in the 80s, back in the early 80s. It was a real hot restaurant, the hot spot up in the Upper West Side from Columbus Avenue, and we're heading there one night and this waitress comes over to serve me. And it's this 11-year-old young lady here, right, 'Hi, can I help you please?' I said, 'Well, is it past your bedtime?' And you were incredible but now we're comparing some notes and my son Cameron was just talking about seeing you down at Limelight.
Drew: Yes, oh, I was all up in the clubs. I mean we got into a lot of trouble, you and I, and look at where we are now. I'm so proud of both of us.
Cameron on Grandfather Kirk Douglas Coming to His DJ Sets in His 90s
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/UUp0m6lsQJ3b Drew: Who like was coming to your DJ gigs in his 90s, is that right?
Cameron: He was that was incredible actually. Him and Ann, his wife Ann, they'd show up every once in a while, sort of impromptu, and I'd be working and then I'd say, 'My God, it's my grandfather sitting down over there' and spend an hour or two just to support me. So sweet.
Drew: How do you like to honor your family?
Cameron: I mean, it is very important to me, and I think I do it just by trying to, as you say, put one foot in front of the other, do the best work that I can, be the best person that I can. I think you know, being there for your family.
Michael Douglas on Being Grandpa "Bubba"
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/rHynTZJuL7aY Drew: And you're a parent now. I mean you have grandchildren, you are a hot grandfather. I'm sorry, I mean that in a really like, I hear they call you Bubba.
Michael: That was it, Bubba. They're great. Lua is 7 and Ryder's 4, and, I couldn't be more excited and happy and enjoying it and watching Cameron go through being a father and smiling and having a good time. So I'm, I'm having a good time enjoying them, but I don't see them enough they're on the west coast. I'm on the east coast. I hope to see them more often.
Drew: Do you have those moments where you see something you're doing with him or saying to him that reminds you of something your father said and did to you? Do you see like, 'Oh well I see that pattern right there.'
Michael: I used to, I mean, when he was a lot younger than now, but probably 20 years ago, but I stopped that a while ago. I mean, in the spirit of trying to maintain a good relationship as you're growing on up, there's only so much parenting you can do after a certain age, and then you're either fortunate enough that you have a bond together, or you don't. And I think both of us cherish the idea of working at keeping a bond together, which is what you have to do. You can't take it for granted.
Cameron Shares His Tattoos of Father Michael & Grandfather Kirk
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/8rOi3qo3aQjI Drew: I just saw that maybe you had tattoos of your father and grandfather somewhere on your body. May I show anybody what that looks like?
Cameron: What do you guys think?
Michael: Take it off.
Drew: Now that's the way to honor your family.
Michael: That's one way to do it.
Michael & Cameron Douglas Give Drew Parenting Advice, "It Pays to be Truthful"
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/hiIIsoXYLPmpDrew: Can I ask any parenting advice from you as I have these young daughters and nothing matters to me more than trying to do my very best. Any advice?
Michael: Not really. I mean, probably just try to be as truthful as possible because kids have really good detectors, they have really good detectors and you think you may be trying to cover up something or protect something and they seem to know. I know Cameron, we've talked about this before, was aware more things are going on with his mother and father, than I knew that he knew.
Drew: OK, I love that advice and that also makes me feel safer because I do have a lot of candor with my kids.
Michael: It, it pays to be truthful.
Drew: Cameron, can I ask the same question?
Cameron: Yeah, I'll just sort of piggyback off of that and just say as my father said my kids they're so sharp and they know what's going on. So sort of respect that intelligence, I think goes a long way.
