Transit Alert – Downtown Transit Interchange to relocate during construction beginning June 1

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, Iowa City Transit will be moving the bus interchange to Court Street between Clinton Street and Dubuque Street for the summer.

The relocation is due to construction work on the Washington Street hill near the existing bus interchange. Necessary detours will be announced in the coming weeks.

Service is expected to resume at the normal interchange by the start of the University of Iowa fall semester.
