UPDATE Arrest in 2023 Homicide Case
GREENSBORO, NC (April 14, 2026) - A 25-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on a second-degree murder charge in connection with a 2023 homicide case.
The Greensboro Police Department's Homicide Unit obtained a warrant for the arrest of Kendal Isaiah Roberts after an investigation into the fatal shooting of Bakari Aman Lee, 24, on Nov. 26, 2023, on River Oaks Drive.
Roberts was taken into custody Tuesday without incident by members of GPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
Roberts was taken to the Guilford County Jail, where he remains without bond.
Lee's next-of-kin have been notified of the arrest.
