Final county hazardous waste day is October 19 at WCCCD

Wayne County's Department of Public Services hosts the final of its four 2024 Household Hazardous Waste Collections this year for County residents on Saturday, October 19, at the Wayne County Community College's Downriver Campus, 21000 Northline.

The collections are designed to accept unwanted household hazardous waste for proper disposal from residents. Only household generated products from Wayne County residents are accepted.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Only Wayne County residents (must show ID) can participate.

Accepted: All types of household hazardous waste. No radioactive materials, explosives, household waste, yard waste, commercial waste, industrial waste, tires, appliances, and roofing.
