WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25), introduced the Blue Shield Privacy Act of 2025. This legislation updates 18 U.S.C. §119 to protect police officers and their families from targeted doxing attacks.
"In today's climate, law enforcement is being increasingly targeted online as a form of political retaliation and intimidation," said Congressman Williams."As digital threats against officers continue to rise, this bill fills a critical gap by accounting for new technological advances to ensure those who serve and protect and can do so without fear of being doxed."
