Stormwater Diversion Channel Construction Necessitates Road Closure
FARGO, N.D. - Construction of the stormwater diversion channel portion of the comprehensive FM Area Diversion project will close a portion of 38th Street W on September 18, 2025. The closure is one mile south of I-94 and includes the intersection of 38th Street SE and 38th Street W.
This closure is to allow for work necessary to open the newly aligned 38th Street roadway, which will allow traffic to cross over the stormwater diversion channel. The closure is expected to last one month, although that may fluctuate if weather impacts construction activities.
A detour route utilizing County Road 15/165th Avenue SE and Interstate 94 will be clearly marked.
Motorists are asked to remain alert in this area and to allow extra time for travel through the detour.
