Connolly Calls on Speaker Johnson to Release Matt Gaetz Ethics Committee Report

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, called on Speaker Mike Johnson to release the Ethics Committee report on its investigation into Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL). Gaetz, who was nominated to be Attorney General by President-elect Donald Trump, resigned from Congress just days before the Ethics Committee was reportedly set to release its final report:

"Matt Gaetz was the subject of a serious DOJ investigation. He is now under investigation by the Ethics Committee. He cannot be allowed to evade accountability any longer. Speaker Johnson must release the Ethics Committee report, regardless of Matt Gaetz's resignation."
