Comer Secures $1 Million in Funding for the Oak Grove Water Infrastructure Project
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced that the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (H.R. 7148), recently passed by Congress, includes $1 million in federal funding to enhance the resilience and reliability of the municipal water system in Oak Grove, Kentucky. This funding bill now advances to the U.S. Senate for consideration. Congressman Comer led efforts in Congress to secure funding for the Oak Grove Water Infrastructure project to improve water pressure and availability for both current and future residential and commercial users.

This investment will help improve water infrastructure across the area, providing residents and visitors with consistent and reliable service. The construction of a new 16-inch ductile iron water line across Interstate 24, a 12-inch water main extension along Carneal Lane, and a 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank will significantly improve water pressure and availability for both current and future residential and commercial users in the area.
