Rep. Kim Schofield Recognized for Effective Lawmaking

ATLANTA - State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) was recently recognized by the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL), a research initiative from the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, as one of Georgia's most consistently effective legislators in the 157th Georgia General Assembly (2023-2024). "This recognition is not about titles-it's about trust, tenacity and putting people first," said Rep. Schofield. "Effective lawmaking requires listening to communities, building bipartisan coalitions and refusing to accept that change isn't possible. I am honored to be named but more honored to serve." The CEL report highlights lawmakers who have "Exceeded Expectations" in drafting, advancing and passing legislation.
