Spring commencement ceremonies will be held at Henderson State University Friday, May 8, in the Duke Wells Center with more than 300 undergraduate and graduate students receiving their degrees.
The ceremony for College of Business and Teachers College graduates will start at 10 a.m. Doors will open for the public at 9 a.m. Dr. Patrick Wempe, professor of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, will give the faculty charge. Natalie Ware, a Recreation/Natural Resource Management major from Conway, will give the student response.
The ceremony for College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences and Caver College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing will begin at 1 p.m. Doors will open to the public at noon. Jerry Mellon, instructor of aviation, will provide the faculty charge. The student response will be given by Chad Cocroft, an aviation/professional pilot major from Memphis.
General parking is available in the Formby Athletic Center lot next to the Duke Wells Center, 1192 M.H. Russell Drive, and on the main campus with free shuttle service available at 12th and Wilson streets. Accessible parking is available in the South Wells Center lot directly in front of the center.
