Providence, a not-for-profit health system serving the Western U.S., today announced Justin Montoya as its new chief real estate officer. His appointment is effective immediately.
Montoya has worked at Providence for more than 20 years, most recently as Providence's South Division (California) chief real estate officer. He has also served as the interim system CREO since April.
"Justin is an exceptional strategic leader who is deeply committed to living our Mission, vision and values," said Darryl Elmouchi, M.D., Providence chief operating officer. "He is the right person to lead this critical area, which is truly the backbone of the care we provide every day throughout all seven of the states we serve."
In this role, Montoya will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and direction for Providence's real estate and construction needs, and overall maintenance of all owned and managed properties, which span more than 20 million square feet across the family of organization's geographic footprint.
"I am honored to accept this role and grateful for the trust and support of my Providence teams and colleagues," Montoya said. "Together, we will continue to strengthen our focus, elevate performance and deliver exceptional service to the communities we serve. Providence's Mission will remain at the center of every decision we make."
Montoya holds an undergraduate degree from UC Irvine in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Redlands. He is also recognized by the American Hospital Association as a healthcare constructor and healthcare facilities professional. In addition, he holds a national healthcare safety professional designation.
