The Associated Master of Social Work Students of Wyoming organization is conducting a food drive to support the University of Wyoming's Food Share Pantry and the Linford Elementary School Food Share Pantry. Both entities support students facing food insecurity.
The food drive is being held through Friday, Nov. 14. Boxes for donations can be found across campus at these locations:
-- Old Main, under the board of fliers across from the vending machines, directly under the president's office.
-- Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center reception desk.
-- Health Sciences Building, next to the dean's office on the second floor and in the atrium area on the first floor.
-- Wyoming Union information desk on the second floor.
-- Violence Prevention Center in the basement of the Wyoming Union.
-- Student Success Center in the College of Business.
-- Classroom Building, next to the information desk.
-- Albany County Public Library.
All donations of nonperishable food items are welcome. Always popular are dry goods, canned goods, packaged snacks and any food product that does not require refrigeration/freezing.
"With 46 percent of UW's community and 37 percent of undergraduates experiencing food insecurity, we greatly appreciate your help in meeting the needs of those in our community," organizers say.
