Gilbert, Ariz. - Neighbors helping neighbors, one home at a time. The Town of Gilbert invites residents to take part in the Day of Service for Seniors on Saturday, April 18, a community event dedicated to supporting local senior residents with light home care and yardwork.
From 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, volunteer teams will assist seniors across Gilbert with tasks that make a meaningful difference in everyday life. Services may include light housekeeping such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and organizing, as well as simple outdoor work like raking, pulling weeds, sweeping patios, and removing debris.
Volunteer check-in begins at 7:15 AM at Page Commons, where teams will gather before heading out to assigned homes.
This free service is available to all seniors living in Gilbert. There is no limit to the number of seniors who can request assistance, and services will be scheduled based on volunteer availability and capacity.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to sign up and lend a helping hand. Volunteers will be organized into teams to ensure each home receives safe, respectful, and effective support. Sign up early to help us match as many seniors and volunteers as possible.
