Several Street Closures Begin Week of April 21

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets will close beginning the week of April 21. The closures are as follows:

Adams Street between 33rd and 36th streets will close beginning Tuesday, April 22 for railroad track and pavement repairs. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 25. The recommended route is Cornhusker Highway to 48th Street.

Southbound 27th Street between "A" and "B" streets will close from 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, for private utility work by Lincoln Electric System. The recommended route is "A" Street to Capitol Parkway to 27th Street.

Old Cheney Road from U.S. Highway 77 to Warlick Boulevard will close beginning Wednesday, April 23, for Lancaster County Engineering bridge repairs. This work is scheduled to be completed by early June. The recommended route is Warlick Boulevard to U.S. Highway 77.

"L" Street between 14th and 16th streets will close beginning Friday, April 25, for private utility and crane work. This work is scheduled to be completed by Sunday, April 27. The recommended route is "L" Street to Antelope Valley Parkway to "O" Street to 13th Street.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
