From the roar of Formula 1® to a Global Anthem: Alan Walker and Sting Energy® bring the sound of F1® to life

Global, 13 June 2026: What does Formula 1® sound like? That question sits at the heart of "The Sting Within Me" - a high-energy new track from Alan Walker and STING Energy® (facilitated and curated by Warner Music India), inspired by the sound, speed and emotion of Formula 1. The track debuted live during the Barcelona Grand Prix weekend in front of thousands of fans - bringing together Formula 1, global DJ Alan Walker and a new generation of fans.

This wasn't just a collaboration between music and motorsport. It was the culmination of an idea already gaining momentum online - that the roar of a Formula 1 engine sounds uncannily like one word: "Stinggg." For Alan Walker, the project brought together two worlds that have long fuelled his passions beyond music: motorsport and energy drinks. A lifelong fan of racing and racing games, he saw the collaboration as an opportunity to channel the emotion, intensity and excitement of Formula 1 into an original Alan Walker record designed for fans both on and off the circuit. Drawing inspiration from the roar of the engines and the atmosphere of race weekend, Walker transformed that experience into a track built around the tension, anticipation and release that define the sport. And it all started with a sound the internet simply couldn't unhear.

Inspired by the growing synergy between electronic music and Formula 1 fandom, Alan Walker approached the challenge of creating a contemporary racing anthem through his own distinctive lens. Captivated by the sport's intensity and atmosphere, he collaborated with STING® Energy and Formula 1 to access a rich archive of engine sounds and race audio. Blending these elements with his signature melodic and cinematic production style, Walker crafted an original record that captures the tension, anticipation and release at the heart of a Formula 1 race weekend. Insights gained through his exchange with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team driver George Russell further helped shape "Sting Within Me."
