Congressman Al Green Announces Opening of FY2027 Community Project Funding Request Portal

(Houston, TX) - On February 27, 2026, Congressman Al Green announced that his Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding request portal is now live. Community Project Funding provides a direct pathway for eligible entities to secure federal resources for projects that strengthen neighborhoods, improve infrastructure, expand opportunity, and enhance quality of life throughout the district.

The list of Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding eligible accounts can be accessed by clicking here,and specific eligibility information can be reviewed here. Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the eligibility information for any subcommittee account for which they are submitting a project. All submissions must be received by Friday, March 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. CT., via the web portal indicated below. Programmatic and language requests for the FY2027 Appropriations bills are also being accepted. Eligible entities, including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and other qualifying public institutions, may submit requests for consideration through the portal by clicking here.

Congressman Green has secured more than $325 million in local projects across Houston, including advancing public safety initiatives, infrastructure improvements, economic development efforts, and community services.

I encourage eligible organizations to submit impact-driven proposals for consideration that will create lasting benefits for the people we serve."
