Rep. Eric Bell Announces Film Screening of Sine Die: The Last Day Documentary

ATLANTA - State Representative Eric Bell (D-Jonesboro) announces a new documentary, titled Sine Die: The Last Day, that documents Georgia's legislative process and explores the urgency and behind-the-scenes dynamics of the last day of the legislation session, known as "Sine Die."

"I am excited to announce and highlight our documentary, Sine Die: The Last Day," said Rep. Bell. "This documentary seeks to give individuals a behind-the-scenes look into our state's legislative process, specifically on our last-and one of our most important-days of the legislative session each year. I look forward to our screening of this film, which we hope will allow insight into how the General Assembly operates on Sine Die each year and how Georgians can engage with our legislative process."

The documentary is produced and directed by Sebastiana Laremont, founder of SL Entertainment, alongside Rep. Bell, Dona Mathews and Nicole Bradford, founders of Strategix LLC.The film follows lawmakers, advocates and civic leaders as they navigate one of the most consequential days in state government, seeking to capture the urgency, negotiation and civic engagement that shape public policy in Georgia.

The documentaryfeatures perspectives from a group of public officials and civic leaders, including State Representatives Bell, Bryce Berry (D-Atlanta), Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) and Saira Draper (D-Atlanta), as well as State Senator Rashaun Kemp (D-Atlanta). The documentary also features U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach; Attorney Gerald Griggs, 13th president of the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP; and Attorney Chris Bruce, policy director for the ACLU of Georgia.

The documentary also includes appearances from Yung Joc, AJ Calloway and Jerry Clark, which seeks to highlight the intersection of public policy, culture and civic engagement.

"This is the most political story ever told under the Gold Dome," said Sebastiana Laremont, executive producer and director. "Sine Die: The Last Day is our 2026 version of Schoolhouse Rock-engaging, educational and urging people to understand that they are the voice. We want audiences to see how the government works in real time and feel empowered to step into the political process."

The documentary screening aims to promote meaningful dialogue around civic participation, public policy and the importance of understanding how decisions made during the legislative session impact communities across Georgia.
