FREMONT, Calif. - Oct. 19, 2026 - The City of Fremont announced today that six new housing developments are breaking ground this fall in Centerville, Irvington, Warm Springs, and Fremont's Downtown, where future residents will benefit from years of strategic planning that have helped shape the vibrant, walkable, and thriving city center. These projects are a significant milestone that advance the City's housing goals and reflect continued confidence in Fremont's future.
Together, these developments will deliver 918 new units for low-income households, adding to the more than 560 affordable units that opened in Fremont in 2025. Fremont ranked second in Alameda County last year for the number of affordable housing units completed, highlighting the City's ongoing commitment to expanding housing options for the community. With these new developments now underway, Fremont continues to build on that momentum.
