On November 7, the "China-U.S. Film and Television Night" was held at the Consulate General in Los Angeles. More than 80 people including Consul General Guo Shaochun and his wife Madame Wang Wei, guests from the Chinese and American film and television industries, government officials attended the event.
In his remarks, Consul General Guo noted that at the the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Recommendations of the CPC Central Committee for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development was adopted,which reaffirmed our commitment to openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit, and clearly proposed deepening exchanges and mutual learning among Civilizations .He hoped that friends in the film and television sectors of both countries will continue to use their creativity and wisdom to deepen cooperation, and promote mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and American peoples, bringing more wonderful stories and touching scenes to the world.
During the event, several activities were held, including the global premiere of the documentary Dear Kuliang,the North American release of Bridge to a Shared Future, a documentary about Edgar Snow's"unfinished journey", the Looking China short film program for American students, and the launch of the first China-U.S. Youth AIGC Short Video Competition.Guests from the Chinese and American film and television industries exchanged enthusiastically at the event.
