Rep. Gabe Evans Secures $8.6 Million for Greeley’s Gold Hill Pipeline Project

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Gabe Evans secured $8,685,000 in federal funding for the City of Greeley's Gold Hill Pipeline Project - delivering a major investment in water infrastructure for Northern Colorado.

The Gold Hill Pipeline Project is a critical initiative designed to strengthen water resiliency for Colorado families, farmers, and businesses by ensuring reliable access to clean water-especially in the face of wildfires, drought, and other natural disasters.

"I was proud to secure this funding to support a project that is essential to the long-term safety and sustainability of Northern Colorado. The Gold Hill Pipeline will help protect our water supply, strengthen our infrastructure, and ensure families, farmers, and businesses have access to clean, reliable water when they need it most. This is a major win for our community and a key step toward building a more resilient future." -Congressman Gabe Evans

"Greeley takes great pride in the quality and reliability of the water we provide for our residents and businesses. The Gold Hill Pipeline is critical to ensuring the resiliency of our water supply, and we are excited to move this project forward with urgency. This funding is wonderful news for the hundreds of thousands of people in the City of Greeley and interconnected communities in Weld County who depend on our infrastructure for safe and reliable water supply. We are grateful to Congressman Evans for prioritizing this project, and for successfully advocating for the $8.6 million FEMA matching grant in the FY-2026 DHS budget that was passed yesterday." - Greeley Mayor Dale Hall

"We are thrilled with the award of an $8.6 million FEMA matching grant to build the Gold Hill Pipeline and enhance water system reliability for our city, its food producer industries, and for the region! I greatly appreciate the Congressman's work and steadfast advocacy on behalf of Greeley." - Sean Chambers, Director of Water, Sewer and Stormwater Utilities, City of Greeley

The project will connect key water systems in Greeley, allowing for greater flexibility and reliability during emergencies or disruptions. By improving system connectivity, the pipeline will help safeguard drinking water and support continued growth across the region.

Local officials have emphasized the urgency of the project, noting that it is shovel-ready and can move forward quickly with funding now secured.

Congressman Evans secured this funding as part of the FY26 appropriations process, which included more than $18.9 million in Community Project Funding for Colorado's 8th Congressional District. The Gold Hill Pipeline was identified as a top priority due to its role in disaster mitigation and long-term water security.

With funding now in place, the city of Greeley can move forward with construction-delivering critical infrastructure improvements that will benefit Northern Colorado for years to come.
