Applied Launches Epic Conductor, Bringing Native AI to Applied Epic

September 29, 2026

New AI platform conducts agency workflows end to end across the policy lifecycle all within Epic's existing security controls

Chicago, IL. - September 29, 2026 - Applied Systems® today launched Epic Conductor™, a new AI platform built natively into Applied Epic®, at Applied Net® 2026. The launch represents a pivotal moment in Epic's evolution from a system of record into a system of action, automating operational policy, financial, and submission management workflows to drive significant cost savings and top line premium growth.

Epic Conductor addresses a long-standing industry problem: systems that rely on inefficient, manual work limit agencies' growth and increases risk exposure. Created to eliminate that friction, Epic Conductor is the AI automation platform built directly into Applied Epic that conducts work end to end across the policy lifecycle instead of task by task. Once Epic Conductor takes on whole workflows rather than single tasks, agencies remove significant portions of inefficient manual work so their people spend their time on what actually grows the business: advising clients and winning more of it.

Epic Conductor runs AI automation across three agency domains:

Operational Automation: The platform makes information from all processes of the policy lifecycle, from issuance through claims, easy to find while context and documents are routed to enable automated workflows to run.

  • Retrieve answers to your questions, instantly: Natural language, AI-powered search transforms Epic's most common task and makes it easy to find information across records and attachments, giving agencies back hours.
  • Eliminate rekeying of data: AI extracts data from carrier documents, including dec pages, applications, submissions, and writes data back into Epic, immediately cutting data entry by more than 50% and logging every action for E&O.
  • Compare every quote and check every policy: Side-by-side quote comparisons are done in seconds, and every policy is checked by AI against what was quoted, flagging coverage gaps and missing endorsements. Both processes shrink manual hours of work to minutes.

Financial Automation: One continuous process runs against the same policy records the rest of the agency works in, from the carrier document that starts a transaction through to collection and reconciliation.

  • Find every dollar in one ledger: The system of record for every financial transaction gets tied to a policy, from invoicing and AR posting through trust accounting and GL close, giving one version of financial truth.
  • Accelerate time from binding and billing: The carrier document arrives, the client is invoiced with a payment link and financing options, and the money moves sooner.
  • Reconcile automatically with a human in the loop: Direct bill, agency bill and bank statements are ingested and matched against Epic, removing manual entry and touch.

Connected Trading: Agencies get one view of everything in market, including commercial new business and remarket submissions, and a path to place more business with the carriers they want to grow with, without rebuilding data Epic already holds.

  • Go to one place for every submission and carrier: Every submission goes through one AI-powered workflow, with status visibility, quotes recorded in Epic, and gaps flagged. Email chasing and app-switching are eliminated while every submission is completed and sent to carriers faster.
  • Quote from email, no portal required: Quote small Commercial from email or Epic, using AI to ingest, extract, and route to carriers. Agencies do less portal navigation and have more margin.
  • Automatically remarket directly from Epic: AI pulls existing policy data from Epic and routes it to carriers, who quote back directly in Epic, enabling agencies to remarket in minutes - not days - and grow revenue with strategic carriers.

"Many of the AI solutions available today are features solving a narrow use case, not connecting work across the whole policy lifecycle," said Lance Williams, chief product officer, Applied. "Our ambition is to apply AI to do what nobody else can: connect the work that moves from operations to finance and trading teams and out to carriers all in one connected system, removing the friction that stalls it to drive real business outcomes faster. That's what Epic Conductor does, conducting the work itself, so agencies and brokerages get the time back to serve clients and grow."
