Emory Healthcare increases its minimum wage to $19 an hour for employees, setting the standard in Georgia

Effective Feb.1, Emory Healthcare will increase the organizational minimum wage to $19 an hour, an increase of $1.46. The change demonstrates a continued focus on uplifting its workforce, placing Emory Healthcare's minimum wage nearly $12 above the federal minimum wage.

In the past two years, Emory Healthcare has invested more than $270 million through increased salaries, becoming the market-leader in the workplace.

Other employee benefits include:

  • Approximately $20 million over two years to maintain affordable health care, with no premium increases for 2026 benefits
  • Improved paid time off including an enhanced accrual rate, bereavement leave and advanced holiday time
  • Comprehensive evaluation of job grades and market trends on an annual review cycle used to compete, lead the market

Emory Healthcare employees will see their new, increased pay reflected in their Feb. 20 paychecks.
