In Marketing Year (MY) 2026/27, UK rapeseed plantings are forecast to increase by 27 percent compared to the previous year's 42-year low, driven by improved market prices, better pest management strategies, and policy changes affecting agri-environment schemes. Production is forecast to exceed 1 million MT for the first time since 2023, with crushing volumes expected to reach 1.75 million MT, and import requirements for both rapeseed and rapeseed meal significantly reduced. U.S. soybean meal exports to the UK are experiencing strong growth, up 24 percent in the first four months of MY 2025/26, driven by UK retailers' voluntary commitments to deforestation-free soy and the continued wait to implement the UK Forest Risk Commodities legislation.
