Schmidt Issues Statement on Husted's Appointment to U.S. Senate Seat

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) issued the followed statement on Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's appointment of Lt. Governor Jon Husted to fill the open U.S. Senate seat:

"I am thrilled to hear that Lieutenant Governor Husted will be our next United States Senator. I have known Jon for 25 years. There is no finer person who has the skills and experience for the job. In every capacity he has served in, he has made Ohio proud. I know he will continue to do this in the Senate. I look forward to working with him on the America First agenda and improving the lives of Ohioans."
