GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Purpose. To announce the results of the Fiscal
Year 2027 (FY27) Commandant's Professional Intermediate-Level
Education Board (CPIB). On 4 August 2026, the FY27 Commandant's
Education Board (CEB) convened to select the best and fully
qualified officers for Commandant of the Marine Corps
(CMC) and civilian fellowships, Command and Staff College (CSC),
other service professional military education (PME), and Foreign PME
(FPME).
1.a. Background. The board, composed of five colonels and sixteen
lieutenant colonels, considered the records of the eligible
population and selected the officers listed below. The small number
of CPIB assignments available relative to the number of eligible
officers makes selection a highly competitive process.
1.b. Major milestone timeline (read in two columns):
DATE MILESTONE
1 January 2027 Marine Corps CSC registration opens
10 July 2027 Marine Corps CSC registration deadline
23 July 2027 Marine Corps CSC report date
May-September 2027 FPME DLI begin dates
July-August 2027 CMC Fellowship orientations (para 3.d.)
2. Coordinating Instructions
2.a. This MARADMIN serves as notice of orders for the officers
listed in paragraph 3.
2.b. Declinations. Only officers whose end of obligated service
(EOS) ends prior to the report date to their specific program may
decline orders. Officers eligible to decline this assignment have
10 days from release of this MARADMIN to decline. Officers who
elect to decline their selection are deemed as resigning in lieu of
orders. Officers who resign in lieu of orders will exit the service
NLT the last day of the month they were required to report to their
future unit.
2.c. Deferrals. Headquarters Marine Corps will not usually accept
deferrals. Officers may request a deferral in writing (AA Form)
via the first O-6 in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) no
later than 10 days from the release of this MARADMIN.
2.d. Marines selected for Marine Corps CSC (para 3.b.4.) are
required to visit https://www.usmcu.edu/Colleges-and-Schools/
Command-and-Staff-College/. On the website, all selectees will
follow the instructions for registration, enrollment, and
pre-check-in. Registration will begin 1 January 2027. Please
register and complete the online enrollment process before 1 July
2027. Marines selected for Air Command and Staff College, Space
Force Command and Staff College, and Army Command and General Staff
College, and College of Naval Command and Staff will be notified of
their start dates and registration requirements via separate
correspondence.
3. Selectees
3.a. All slated officers are listed below with corresponding
assignments. Unless specified otherwise, officers will receive
orders from their Primary Military Occupational Specialty (PMOS)
monitor. Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) Scholars and FY26
