Northern Michigan University 2012 alumna Kaylee Davenport has been reappointed to the Michigan Board of Audiology. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from NMU with a minor in speech, language and hearing sciences. She currently serves as a clinical audiologist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Saginaw.
Davenport previously worked as a clinical audiologist at the Rontal Clinic and completed an audiology residency at The Shea Ear Clinic. In addition to her NMU degree, she also holds a Doctor of Audiology from Louisiana Tech University.
Her new term on the board will begin July 1, 2026, and run through June 30, 2030. The Michigan Board of Audiology was established under the state Public Health Code to license audiologists who use nonmedical and nonsurgical approaches to address hearing disorders. The board is responsible for promoting and protecting public health, safety and welfare. It also has the authority to take disciplinary action against licensees whose conduct has negatively affected the public.
