M-15 temporary detours begin Aug. 1 for resurfacing in Bay County

BAY CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be implementing temporary detours as part of an $841,000 investment to resurface more than a mile of M-15 (Tuscola Road/Trumbull Street) from Young's Ditch Road/22nd Street north to M-25 (Center Avenue).

M-15 traffic will be detoured from Columbus Avenue to M-25 starting Saturday, Aug. 1, through Thursday, Aug. 13.

An additional closure will be in place on M-15 from Columbus Avenue to Youngs Ditch Road on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Traffic will be detoured for both closures in each direction via Youngs Ditch Road and Pine Road. Access to businesses will be maintained.

Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support seven jobs.

This work will extend the lifespan of the roadway and increase safety for motorists.
