NATCHEZ, Miss. - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hosting a hiring event for people interested in applying for a part-time job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Natchez-Adams County Airport (HEZ).
Event details:
Attendees will receive information about TSO positions and can complete multiple steps of the hiring process. The event includes a presentation about the TSO role, application assistance, and taking or scheduling computer-based testing for job seekers. Participants may complete all or part of these processes, which will significantly reduce the time required to get on board with TSA. Completion of all application steps may take several hours.
At the hiring event, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and benefits, which include paid leave, healthcare plans, 401(k) coverage and starting pay, which is $22.09 per hour at HEZ. After two years of service, TSOs can earn $29.57 per hour.
Candidates are required to have two valid, unexpired forms of state or federal identification. The name on the ID must match the name on the application.
TSA seeks those who want to take the initial step into a rewarding federal career and support the agency's critical mission of protecting our nation's transportation systems. For more information, visit https://jobs.tsa.gov/.
