China Media Group launched a nanny robot conference, aimed at helping more robots enter the homes of ordinary people. Co-hosted by CMG's New Media Center and the China Center for Information Industry Development, the event focused on the role of robotics in daily life, covering smart healthcare, intelligent homes, home education and community management.
The event featured designed competition segments and demonstrations of nanny robots in real-life household scenarios. These robots are designed to assist with tasks such as nursing, health monitoring and caregiving companionship, helping to bring technological advancements into everyday family life. Follow-up robot competitions will be held in Qingdao, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Suzhou to showcase further innovation achievements and application scenarios in the robotics sector.
Alongside the conference, CMG premiered its micro-documentary series Hi Robot, offering the audience into the latest developments in home-service robotics and the future role of robots in daily life. The series includes interviews with over 30 industry insiders, including robotics-company founders, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Science, an renowned experts and scholars in the field of embodied intelligence. Nanny robots are defined as autonomous systems used in elderly care, homeschooling and household services.
