The Christ Hospital Medical Center - Liberty Township Completes Expansion of Birthing Center

CINCINNATI (August 7, 2026) - The Christ Hospital Medical Center - Liberty Township recently completed expansion of its Family Birthing Center. The $13 million, 8,800 square-foot project will create greater access for women seeking obstetrical care in Greater Cincinnati.

The expansion includes new labor and delivery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms, increasing our capacity by 50% for families giving birth allowing them to stay in one location for their entire stay. Two of these rooms will have new labor tubs increasing hydrotherapy options for moms looking for natural childbirth. The entire birthing center design has been developed with attention to detail and the unique needs of our families.

The Christ Hospital Health Network has partnered with Champlin Architecture, CMTA Engineering, Schaefer Inc. and Danis Construction Company to complete the project. The additions come after a $20 million expansion in 2024 that allowed the medical center to double its state-of-the-art MRI and CT imaging capabilities due to the increased demand for cardiac, orthopedic, cancer and women's diagnostic and health screenings.

Opening in 2018, The Christ Hospital Medical Center - Liberty Township already offers a wide variety of healthcare services including, emergency medicine, inpatient care, family birthing center, cardiac rehab, physical and occupational therapy and outpatient surgeries.
