CIMA and TFAC renew Memorandum of Understanding to develop future-ready talent in Thailand

16 June 2025, Bangkok - The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Thailand Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) have announced that they have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for another three years.

First signed in 2019, the agreement allows TFAC members to become CIMA members, subject to passing the CGMA Professional Qualification Strategic Case Study Exam. Candidates will also need to meet the practical experience requirements to demonstrate their competence and experience in the workplace. Over the years, the agreement has opened up new employment opportunities for accounting, finance, and business professionals and given employers in Thailand access to a wider talent pool.

Venkkat Ramanan FCMA, CGMA, Vice President - Asia Pacific at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, said:

"The renewal of our agreement with TFAC represents a key milestone in our mission to advance the accounting and finance profession in Asia Pacific. We look forward to further empower Thai talent with the insights, tools, and recognition they need to lead their organisations with confidence in an increasingly complex business environment."

Winid Silamongkol, President at the Federation of Accounting Professions, added:

"We are pleased to renew our partnership with CIMA, reaffirming our shared commitment to professional excellence, innovation, and advancing the management accounting profession in Thailand. In a rapidly evolving global landscape, we believe that our collaboration will yield a meaningful and lasting impact for accounting, finance, and business professionals in Thailand."
