GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.The purpose of this MARADMIN is to provide
clarification and interim guidance regarding Class V(W)
ammunition stored and managed by Marine Aviation Ordnance
personnel (MOS 65xx) and its inventory management.
2. Class V(W) ammunition and explosives are managed according
to the provision outlined in REF A. Historically, Aviation
Ordnance personnel have managed Class V(W) ammunition in the
same manner as Class V(A) ammunition, as described in REFs B and
C. However, the management methods differ significantly,
despite maintaining the same information and accuracy
requirements. To address these discrepancies between
requirements and execution, REF A will be updated to incorporate
the following guidance, which is effective on the date of this
MARADMIN.
2.A. In circumstances where Class V(W) ammunition is stored at
locations where Aviation Ordnance Technicians (MOS 65xx) are the
responsible authority for inventory management, the requirements
in REFs B and C are the authoritative sources that shall be
followed for inventory control and management.
4. This MARADMIN applies to the total force
5. Release authorized by BGen T. L. Campbell, Commander, Marine
Corps Systems Command.//
